The Perfect Person

My inspiration, if you want to call it that, for this post is a message I received on Xbox Live today.

Note: If you have trouble with sarcasm you might not want to bother with this post.

I had some free time, so I was doing one of the things I usually do online; posting on the forums on Xbox.com, in the Mass Effect 2 forums in particular. I find that the conversation there is usually interesting and fun to participate in. It differs highly from other games’ forums. As you can imagine the Call of Duty or Gears of War forums are less civilized.

While reading through a thread, I forget the topic now, I saw someone had posted "Get a life" in response to something someone had posted about Mass Effect 2.

What a great guy.

He apparently does nothing but lurk around on the Xbox forums looking for people to insult. It doesn't get much better than that, ladies.

After I saw his insulting comment, I responded to it with this: "…said the troll."

Shortly after that I noticed I had a message in my inbox.

This is what I found.

What a man.

So inspirational.

This is the kind of person you want your daughters to date. He has wonderful ideals. Obviously he has learned that being a man consists of having sex with women and insulting others under the shroud of anonymity. Being nice? Treating women with respect? Treating everyone with respect? Making others happy? That shit is for pussies. 

Ok. I can't write like this anymore.

It's sad that people like this are out there. And they're out there in abundance. I feel like nice people are the minority in the world of online gaming and anonymity. That’s why I’m not afraid to show my name on this site. I’m not going to hide behind a fake name and insult people. It is so refreshing when you find someone who is kind and makes your experience online even better.

I laughed at that message up there. The thing is, people like this are ok to laugh at. I recently found a neat website where people post images like the one above so they can laugh at how sad some people are.

I wish everyone was nice online but that's not the case. So laugh at them and they'll only get frustrated. Whatever you do don't let them frustrate you. That's what they want.

Don't you dare let them make you unhappy.

I want you to be happy.
